About
Malaysia Travel Toolkit is a set of independent calculators and planners built specifically for Malaysia. It exists because most online travel tools either copy each other or skip the real line items (SST, TTx, FX margin, ferry times, Ramadan hours, monsoon windows).
Who it is for: independent travellers who already decided on Malaysia and need practical, no-fluff help with budget, transport, food, language, culture, and emergency planning.
What it is not: a TripAdvisor clone, a flight aggregator, or a hotel booking engine. We do not take bookings, we do not track you, we do not sell anything.
Limitations: prices, schedules and policies change. The "Last reviewed" date in the footer is when we last checked. Verify with official sources within 7 days of travel. We accept no liability for stale data.
Privacy
We do not require registration, email, app install, or persistent tracking cookies. All calculations happen in your browser. Inputs are not uploaded or stored on our servers. Refreshing the page clears everything.
Google AdSense (when enabled): this site may serve ads via Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve interest-based ads. Google use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on a user visit to our site and/or other sites. Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
EEA / UK consent: for users in the EEA, UK or any region under Google consent rules, Google does not enable personalised ads until the user has granted consent via Google CMP. We do not auto-pop the consent banner before any ad is actually rendered.
Third-party cookies: when ads are live, you may see cookies set by Google (AdSense), Cloudflare (CDN/security). See each vendor privacy page for details.
Data sales: we sell nothing because we collect nothing.

Prices, schedules, fees, and policies in Malaysia change frequently. SST service tax was re-introduced in 2018 at 6%; Tourism Tax was reactivated in 2018 at RM10/room/night for foreigners; many municipal and tourism fees have changed since. We work from 2024-2026 publicly available data but cannot guarantee currency.
Always verify with the official source before paying (airline, ferry operator, immigration department, hotel, tour operator). By using this site you agree that you are responsible for your own travel decisions.
